This frame is made of solid ash and is hand finshed. The grain of the wood shows through the natural looking finish. At 1 3/8" in width, this frame will not over power its contents. The fine detail on the ornamentation on the inside and outside of the molding add subtle interest to this frame. This frame can be hung horizontally or vertically and is a great choice for family portraits and needlework. My mother in-law has some hand five hand made doilies from Belguim mounted in these frames hanging in the guest room. They are quaint and charming. Her friends say it reminds them of home.
